A little gift

I recently had an amazing experience. A company called Trumpf hosted me and my husband on a tour of some of their facilities. My husband’s company does business with Trumpf, and we were included in a delegation of other Americans invited to Germany, Switzerland and Austria to learn about their machine tools as well as soak up a bit of culture.

I wanted to do something to thank our hosts at Trumpf, so I wrote them a little short story as a gift. Naturally, my friends here are welcome to enjoy it as well, although you aren’t expected to know all the terminology. Hopefully, You’ll have a laugh just the same.

  1. Hi Suki,

I was wondering if there was a way to get a copy of “Passion at the Press Brake”. The link does not work anymore – not surprising, considering I’m 4 years late reading your blog…

Anyway, I’d love to read the story if still available – I’m a fan of your SVM/TB fanfiction and I happily “stalked” you to your published work and blog(s). I’m also a fellow member of some of the same FB Groups as you.

    Thank you very much.
    Best always,
    Ronnie (Veronica)

  2. Hi Ronnie! What a pleasure to hear from a member of my SVM/TB fanfiction family! I was just thinking about “Passion at the Press Brake.” (For those who don’t know, it’s a funny short parody romance I wrote as a thank-you gift for my hosts on a wonderful trip my husband and I took to Europe for his business.) I’m about to re-open my BookFunnel account for a new anthology called “A Shot of Steam” (with 20 awesome free short stories, one of which will be mine!). I’ll keep everyone posted on that (to be released in May), and I’ll also take a look at “Passion at the Press Brake” and make sure it can be read for free as well. Thanks so much for reaching out!

  3. Thank you Suki for your reply. I’m looking forward to reading new things from you. As I said, I am a fan of your SVM/TB stories. But for them I would not have discovered the rest of your writing – so yes, now I am a fan of YOU. I have your fiction books – although not the anthologies that include your latest stories. I also have not yet checked out your memoir, but if it matches your other stuff in heart and humor, then I’m sure it will be next on my Kindle “to get” list. So, thanks again for replying to a new-ish SVM/TB and Suki fan. And thanks for writing!
    Best always,
    Ronnie

  4. Thanks Suki! Worked like a charm! I was able to both open a copy in my browser and download a PDF copy for my Suki library. Thanks again and I’ll definitely stayed tuned for your updates 🙂
